Previewing pages with script extensions

To make it easier for you to edit HTML pages with new features, eBook Maestro Browser comes together with eBook Maestro. This browser supports all new functions and properties described in the 'Script Extensions' section.

Notes:
When you are creating an eBook, each eBook has its own key in the registry for you to be able to store data using the functions of the first group of the Registry object. The browser allocates only one key for these functions for all pages you view.
Sometimes you may need to clear the data of the key used by the browser. In order to clear it, use the button in the upper right corner of the browser.

Configure the HTML editor you use to edit HTML pages so that it starts eBook Maestro Browser for previewing pages. It will allow you to use the «Preview» command to track the behavior of pages with extended features.

The browser is located in the directory where eBook Maestro is installed. The name of the file is 'browser.exe'.

Enabling the browser in Macromedia Dreamweaver:

  1. Open File
  2. Move the mouse pointer to 'Preview in Browser'
  3. Select 'Edit Browser List.'
  4. Click '+' in the dialog box that appears after that.
  5. Use the 'Application' field to specify the path to the file 'browser.exe' located in the directory where eBook Maestro is installed.
  6. Enter 'eBook Maestro Browser' in the 'Name' field.
  7. Select 'Primary Browser' if you want to open the preview window by pressing F12. Or select 'Secondary Browser' if you want to open the preview window by pressing CTRL+F12.
  8. Click OK.

Enabling the browser in Microsoft Frontpage:

  1. Open File
  2. Select 'Preview in Browser.'
  3. Click 'Add' in the dialog box that appears after that.
  4. Use the 'Command' field to specify the path to the file 'browser.exe' located in the directory where eBook Maestro is installed.
  5. Enter 'eBook Maestro Browser' in the 'Name' field.
  6. Click OK.
