Protection
Use this section to specify
the settings of eBook protection.
Enabled: Select this checkbox to enable eBook protection.
User License: Select this checkbox to make the eBook
after its registration available only for the user who registered
it.
Machine License: Select this checkbox to make the
eBook after its registration available for all users on an operating
system.
Encrypted Information: Select this option for
unregistered users to have limited access to the files of your
eBook.
EBook Sub-Directory to protect: The subdirectory
with protected pages. All files from this subdirectory can be
opened only after the eBook is registered. If the eBook is not
registered, the page informing the user that the eBook is unregistered
and offering him to register it will be opened each time the
user tries to open a protected page.
Expire after X days: Select this option for
unregistered users to be able to use your eBook for X days.
Expire after X launches : Select this option
for unregistered users to be able to start your eBook X times.
Number of Days/Launches: Enter
the number of days/launches for unregistered users.
Initialization
Use this section to
initialize the protection module.
Enter random sequences of digits and letters into
the edit fields and click Initialize. This operation is performed
one time only. After the protection is initialized, you will not
have to repeat this action.
Key Generator
Use this section to generate registration keys.
Reg. Name: Use this field to enter
the registration name to generate a key for. Note: registration keys
depend on registration names. It means that a key generated for one
name cannot be used with another name. However, if you generate a
key for a blank name (the Reg.Name field is blank), this key can
be used with any name.
Reg. Code: Click Generate under this field to
get a registration key.
Reg. Codes: For example,
if the company that accepts registration payments for you asks you to prepare
a lot of keys beforehand, this subsection will allow you to generate automatically
any number of them. Do not forget to clear Reg. Name if you do not want to
create keys for a certain person.
Buy Page
Use this section to specify the settings of the page that is opened
if an unregistered user tries to read a protected page.
Template: Select a template for the page.
EBook Image: Specify/Change the path to the file
with the eBook image. The recommended maximum size of the image is
150x150 pixels. Leave it blank to use the default image.
Buy Button Image: Specify the path to the file with
the image of the «Buy Now» button. The recommended maximum
size of the image is 120x35 pixels. Leave it blank to use the default
image.
Buy page URL: The hyperlink the user will follow
if he clicks the «Buy Now» button.
Show 'Money Back Guarantee' image: Select this
checkbox to show the «Money Back Guarantee» sign.
'Money Back' Image: Specify the path to the file
with the «Money Back Guarantee» image. The recommended
maximum size of the image is 100x100 pixels. Leave it blank to
use the default image.
Online Activation URL: The address of the page
that will receive the user's registration name/code and decide
whether the code can be used for registration or not. The URL must
start with the protocol part (http://, https://). If the eBook
is activated offline, just leave this field blank.
Single Online Activation: Select this option so
that the user will not have to activate the eBook after one successful
registration.
Online re-activation each X days: Select this
option so that the user will have to re-activate the eBook each
X days.
Online re-activation each X launches:
Select this option so that the user will have to re-activate the
eBook each X launches.
Number of Days/Launches: Enter the number of days/launches
for the online re-activation option.
Preview
Buy Page: Use this button to view what the page will look
like.
Miscellaneous
Use this section to specify miscellaneous protection settings of
your eBook.
Open URL on exit if EBook is not registered: specify the address
that will open in a new browser window when an unregistered user
exits the eBook. Leave it blank not to open a new browser window
on exit. To specify the address for registered users, use the General>Misc
section.
Open only once: select this checkbox to open the specified URL only when an
unregistered user exits the eBook for the first time. |
