Creating and editing the project
When you are working on an eBook in eBook Maestro, you are working
with a project. A project is a set of settings that define the eBook.
There are three parts in the graphical interface of the compiler:
toolbar, navigation bar and editing area.
Toolbar

New - create a new project
New From - create a new project from an existing one
Open - open an existing project
Save - save the project to the currently
edited file
Save as - save the project to another file
Compile - compile the
project
Run - run the compiled eBook
The name of the file in the rectangle
denotes the currently edited file
Use the toolbar to create/open/save a file with project settings.
Attention! Never copy an existing project file in order to create
another project. Make sure you use the New button to create each
new project in order to initiate a new ID number and protection sequences.
Thus, if two projects have the same ID numbers and names, the eBooks
will save their settings over each other, which can lead to unpredictable
sequences. And if two projects have the same ID numbers and protection
sequences, registration keys will work for both projects.
Navigation bar
 |
The navigation bar is used to switch between
project settings.
General - general project settings.
Files - eBook files to be included into the project.
User Interface - user interface settings.
Protection - project protection settings.
About - information about the compiler. |
Editing area
By clicking the buttons on the navigation bar, you will open various
pages with project settings. All pages are divided into subsections.
Each subsection has two buttons:

The
button
expands/collapses the subsection. Tip: when you finish editing a subsection,
collapse it in order not to mix it up with subsections you are only going to
edit.
The
button allows you to get help about settings in each section. |
