The contents of the file directories
As it was mentioned above, each eBook contains six virtual file
directories: Control Bar Directory, Search Bar Directory, Buy Page
Directory, eBook Directory, Left Panel Sub Directory and Protected
Sub Directory.
The entire information content of the eBook is stored in the eBook
Directory and its Left Panel Subdirectory and Protected Subdirectory.
These directories are filled with the files of the eBook.
The Left Panel Subdirectory and the Protected Subdirectory are the
subdirectories of the eBook Directory for the pages of these directories
to be able to contain hyperlinks to each other.
For instance, let us take the eBook in which the eBook Directory
contains eBook files, while the Left Panel Subdirectory contains
the files of its table of contents with hyperlinks to the eBook
files. If the user clicks one of these hyperlinks in the Left Panel,
the page will open in the Main Panel because the application detects
that the file is located in the eBook Directory and therefore opens
it in the Main Panel instead of the Left Panel.
The rest of the directories are filled with the corresponding templates.
These templates use the settings specified in the process of editing
the project to display the content. EBook Maestro already has a basic
set of templates, so you will just have to prepare files for the
main directories and use ready-made templates for other directories.
But if you want to change the Control Bar, the Search Bar and the
Buy Page in your eBook completely, you will have to create your own
templates. More details about this will be available in the part «for
advanced users» and so far just a brief introduction.
