Introduction

eBook Maestro is a professional compiler of informational applications with a whole bunch of unique features. You can use eBook Maestro to create electronic books, documentation, galleries and other informational projects with fully customizable interfaces. The compiler allows you to change and customize everything including buttons on the Control Bar. Optional protection mechanisms allow you to encrypt parts of files so that the user has to register in order to access the entire information. Another eBook Maestro feature is special script extensions that make it possible to remember and process user-specific data, which allows you to create interactive books, training courses, tests, software wizards, etc.

Due to strong compression algorithms, the final application is very small in size, but it does not influence the performance. The customization and compilation process does not take a lot of time as well. You just specify the directory where files with pages are stored and in a moment you get a stand-alone application that does not require any additional software for viewing.

This manual consists of two parts: «for everyone» and «for advanced users».

The part «for everyone» dwells on the structure of the eBook being created and how to use the compiler. It contains examples of how to create a simple eBook and an eBook with protected pages.

The part «for advanced users» describes the new functions of Java Script and VB Script and also how to create eBooks interacting with the user. It contains an example of how to create an eBook that uses the user's name to address him or her.
